To celebrate the end of summer, we're organising the very first VCL Bike Ride. This will be a convivial affair, taking advantage of the quiet streets and beautiful parks around South Hackney, Islington and Tower Hamlets - not to mention some planned stops for refreshments.
We've tried and tested a circular route, which will leave in front of Hackney Town Hall. The total distance is around 15km; it is a child friendly event, but as we will be cycling on public roads, parents are the best judges of their offspring's ability in traffic.
The closest underground stations are Hackney Central and London Fields. Bicycles may be taken on the Overground at any time.
