Dear members and friends,

We all know how fabulous Belgian football players shine week after week at many of the English top league clubs. However, did you know that another London team is actually owned and managed by Belgians? And to make things even more interesting, did you know that club is led by a 31-year-old, highly energetic Belgian lady, making her the youngest of only three female CEO’s in the English top leagues?

Intrigued? Then join us on Saturday 7 November 2015 for a visit to Charlton Athletic, a championship team*, where owner Roland Duchatelet appointed former lawyer Katrien Meire as CEO last year. After profiles on the BBC, Sky Sports and de Tijd, we thought the time has come for us to go over to Charlton and see for ourselves what the fuss is all about.

This event contains two parts:

  • Katrien has kindly invited us to the stadium for a talk about her experience at the club
  • After her talk, we’ll go straight to the West stand of the stadium to watch Charlton Athletic – Sheffield Wednesday

As Katrien is trying to profile the club as more family-friendly, children are most welcome to this event. As we have been offered a “friends and family” rate of £10/ticket, this is indeed an excellent opportunity to let your young ones experience their first game in a real stadium.

WHERE: We’ll meet at the Charlton Athletic Superstore, 2 Harvey Gardens, SE7 8SR

WHEN: Saturday 7 November 2015, 13.30

PRICE: £10/ticket, booking on our website
